And/or have the president "Just" announce that we are going to use our own nations Oil Reserves...that alone would send the speculators to oil hell!!! Even before the first barrel of reserve oil was delivered to the refinery, ALL gas prices would drop Over Night!!!

There has to be a control set on speculators and investors. The situations caused by these two culprits is totally atrocious.

If you use up the oil reserves, the speculators will time their buy and sell orders to make a small fortune, the oil reserves will run out in a few short weeks, and will have to be refilled at higher prices. They are for emergencies, not for convenience.
Increasing imports from Canada and Mexico isn't as simple as turning the tap. In your home, if your tap is open full, and you need more pressure, you have to re-plumb with pipes capable of delivering more volume to the tap in question. It is a massive process to increase deliveries from Canada, and if you check, you will find it has been an ongoing process, complicated by some people claiming to not want tar sands oil, billions of dollars to expand infrastructure, etc, but oil delivery from Canada to the US has been on a rise.
