Yes, gas prices are affected by the BP shutdown and the lack of new refineries. EPA and enviromentalist, wake up and compromise. We can have both, but cut some slack.

BP's move, essentially taking the North Slope off-line INDEFINITELY, is a brash, in-your-face, get the EPA fairy artists off our collective backs...

If the leaks were 'significant', ALL producers at the North Slope would have vested interests in shutting down the pipe, capping losses...

I have a strong feeling that BP is pushing the issue to the fore... in order to bring force to telling EPA Thru the Looking Glass Fairies to 'put it where the sun doesn't shine'...

Just another opinion, to be sure...

if only 85 we would be lucky w\hurricanes comin,the next faze in iraq and the texas harbors congested you watch they'll be a shipping accident in the shipping lanes w\ 10 - 14 day delay OMG what else....
